The Challenge
To create a high volume of engaging visuals (blog covers, social graphics) that effectively translate complex written content, often centered on technical concepts, into clear, brand-aligned assets, serving as the primary visual touchpoint for audience click-through and engagement.
The Process & Execution
Conceptualisation from Brief: The process began with receiving a detailed brief from the Marketing team, outlining the core content (blog post or social media topic). I used this text as the primary source to identify the most interesting and illustrative concepts, which guided the initial design direction.
Sketching & Visual Translation: I developed initial sketches to visualise key concepts, focusing on metaphors and visuals that accurately represented the content while maintaining brand alignment.
Strategic Feedback & Iteration: Sketches and initial mockups were submitted for review. I then analysed the feedback received, often engaging in direct discussions with the team to understand the rationale behind the suggestions, ensuring the design remained strategically focused.
Learning & Finalization: I systematically tracked and applied learnings from each design iteration to improve efficiency and quality on future projects. Upon final sign-off, the optimized assets were prepared and shipped for use across Vaultree's website and LinkedIn channels.
Key Skills Demonstrated
Visual Translation: Ability to convert dense, written content into digestible, compelling visuals.
Iterative Design: Strategic application of feedback to refine and improve visual assets.
Brand Guardianship: Ensuring strict consistency across a high volume of diverse marketing materials.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Effective communication with the Marketing team throughout the lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Design Support (Sales Enablement)
Partnered directly with the Sales and Product teams to create a suite of high-value, ready-to-use documents, including detailed proposals, product information sheets, and custom client-facing collateral. This work directly supported the sales cycle by providing polished, professional assets for potential customers and stakeholders.
Brand Identity Implementation
Played a key role in the company’s most recent brand identity refresh, focusing on the end-to-end creation and standardisation of all foundational assets. Deliverables included the design and production of new business cards, comprehensive presentation decks, official letterheads, and updated email signatures/templates, ensuring absolute brand consistency across all new internal and external touchpoints.
Custom Swag Illustration & Internal Branding
Developed a series of custom illustrations for internal company use, successfully translating the brand identity into engaging designs for the internal swag store. These visuals were applied across physical merchandise, including tote bags and notebooks, to enhance internal culture and branding efforts.
